Dr. Manasseh Teryima Akese is a Nigerian. He hails from Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State. He was born on 25th December, 1969 to the precious and noble family of Akese Nyikwagh in Mbagbam, Ute. He attended L.G.E.D Primary School, Zungwe, Ute from 1977 – 1983. Soon after, he attended Abutu Secondary School from 1983 – 1988. He later proceeded to College of Education Katsina-Ala and passed out in 1994. From 2001 – 2005, he attended the famous University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) where he read B.A. Ed (French). In 2012 he obtained a Masters of Arts degree from Benue State University, Makurdi. In 2018, Akese obtained his doctorate degree in French literature from Benue State University, Makurdi. He has been a model teacher and a season lecturer in various academic institutions. Prominent to mention is the National Open University of Nigeria, where he works as a lecturer of French language in the Department of Linguistics, Foreign and Nigerian Languages. He is an erudite scholar whose research works attract ceaseless commendations from both national and international academic bodies, through internet visibility. He is a bonified member of University French Teachers Association of Nigeria (UFTAN) and other professional bodies. His play won a national trophy at National French Drama Competition in Delta State, in 2005. He travelled to France and Togo. He received the best classroom teacher award. He is happily married to a beautiful daughter of Tar Ahura, Emmanuella Mnenge Akese. Her presence is a factor to these remarkable successful academic achievements.
